NTUNGO NOBLE: It is a great profession to be an Agricultural Economist. The versatility of the profession is astounding. And I have never forgotten the empowering words - with all the rights and privileges thereto appertaining - that appear on my degrees.
Hello! My name is Chrispin Ntungo. When it dawned on me that my village was an impoverished community, I started to do research to build a case to share with the world. I researched poverty in Canada, in the US and elsewhere. It was during this time that I came across the United Nations’ seventeen Sustainable Development Goals. Among them were no poverty, zero hunger, quality education, health and well-being, etc. The seventeenth one was partnership for the goals.
In its concluding remarks the UN document made an appeal for everyone who cares about sustainable living to be involved. And therein I saw the opportunity. Except for life under water, all the other goals would apply to the people of Mwambezi village. But as a first step, I decided to focus on four critical ones namely no poverty, zero hunger, quality education and, health and well-being. If the people of Mwambezi village would be educated, have abundant food and be healthy I thought, they would be happy. The quality of their lives would be equitable to those of people in other places that already have these needs fulfilled.
In 2017 we started Ntungo Noble Projects, in essence as a partner of the UN and the global community, in achieving sustainable development goals for the people of Mwambezi Village in Zambia. Ntungo Noble is governed by a Board of Directors while the son of the soil in yours truly serves as its Executive Director. We are now looking for partners who can contribute to our work to help achieve selected UN Sustainable Development Goals for the people of Mwambezi Village in Zambia.
I hope I can have opportunity to speak with you, or one of your designates, about the available options for partnership. Please contact me.
Sincerely yours,
Chrispin Ntungo
