ABOUT NTUNGO NOBLE

Ntungo Noble Projects Inc.

Ntungo Noble Projects, Inc. is a nongovernment nonprofit organization headquartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and dedicated to providing  poverty relief for people of Mwambezi village in Mbala District of the Republic of Zambia. Mwambezi village is located 12 km south-west of Mbala town on Chitimbwa Road and 1000 km from Lusaka the capital of Zambia.

The following is the Ntungo Noble model of activities for lifting the people of Mwambezi village out of poverty:

Funding:       

Hardly do you find one organization readily available to fund all the identified causes above. Ntungo Noble works with all available funders and asks each funder to fund the cause they support. This approach works well for Ntungo Noble and for Funders. In the end all our causes are compassionately funded to the benefit of the village people. Ntungo Noble also employs strategies that call on specific groups such as women, men and youth to step up and financially support poverty alleviating projects.

Impact:       

The Ntungo Noble Model impacts the community in tangible ways, including but not limited to:

    • Increased literacy and numeracy rates upwards of 90 percent
    • Enhanced health for all, especially children and women
    • Food security for all households, including those headed by women
    • Decent accommodation for all, including single women
    • Gainful entrepreneurial employment for youth and adults, including women
    • Quality village infrastructure including school, clinic, community centre, water supply, grain and food storage facilities
    • Leadership capacity building for community based co-op organizations
    • Safe and adequate village water supply
    • Health and safe environment resulting from tree planting
    • Enduring economic base for the village community
